The course has been designed to enable students to develop their communicative skills ( reading, writing, speaking and listening), in a foreign language, as they are able to appreciate the intercultural experience as they explore the selected themes/ topics and contemporary writings that are relevant to the Caribbean society and experience. Students will be able to cover the literature in Unit 2 of the CAPE Syllabus. SP281 intends to provide students with language competence as they enrich their cultural experience and are able to understand their role as Belizeans within the Caribbean, Central America and global context.
